Arch Blocher, founder of TreTerra Corporation, serves as President and principal client engagement manager. His professional career includes 25 years experience in information technology and business management. During this time, he directed the IT function in both start-up situations and mature operations environments. His business experience encompasses multiple business models both domestically and internationally.
Before forming TreTerra, Mr. Blocher was Vice President Information Technology at Orion Power Holdings, Inc. a major north-east electrical power generation company. At Orion he oversaw all aspects of the information technology function from company formation to full operational capability. During his time at Orion, Mr. Blocher also served as Corporate Officer and member of the management team.
Prior to joining Orion, Mr. Blocher served with International Paper Company for 20 years in multiple business and IT management roles. At International Paper, he managed the IT function for newly formed divisions encompassing multiple manufacturing and distribution businesses located both domestically and internationally. For a period of five years, Mr. Blocher had overall responsibility for the information technology function for all International Paper operations located in Europe.
Mr. Blocher’s professional experience encompasses all areas if information technology management and business operations. His cross functional business exposure enables him to architect IT capabilities to complement business strategies and operations. His extensive experience overseeing IT organizations, developing policies, procedures and strategic programs enables him to be an effective change agent for business improvement.
